Arsenal and Manchester City are currently locked in a tense Premier League title race
There are now just 58 days left until the Premier League season ends, with Arsenal and Manchester City battling it out for the Premier League title.
Mikel Arteta's side currently leads the race, sitting eight points clear of City in second, although the reigning champions have played one less league match this term. Now, The Mirror 's supercomputer has backed the Gunners to win their first league title in 19 years, narrowly pipping the Citizens to glory over the next eight weeks.
The simulation backed Arsenal to secure a whopping 95 points, a tally that only four teams have matched in Premier League history. City were predicted to close the gap but ultimately finish five points behind the north London outfit whilst the two club's local rivals Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur were forecasted to come third and fourth respectively.
Chelsea dropped to eleventh in the simulation, behind the likes of Brentford, Aston Villa and Fulham while West Ham United were 17th, narrowly avoiding relegation. Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest, Everton and Southampton finished 18th, 19th and 20th respectively.
