The final Premier League table has been predicted which hands verdicts to Manchester United and Liverpool's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season
The final Premier League has been predicted after the latest round of fixtures - spelling good news for Manchester United and Liverpool. Both clubs are battling to qualify for the Champions League, which would need each club to finish in the top four to guarantee a place in next season’s competition.
Fifth place could be enough to clinch a spot in the Champions League thanks to England's impressive UEFA coefficient, but that is yet to be guaranteed at this stage of the season. United climbed back up to fourth place in the Premier League table thanks to their 1-0 win over Everton in the Monday Night Football, while Chelsea are three points behind in fifth.
Liverpool remain in sixth place despite their dramatic win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday, and now a fresh prediction has emerged for how the final table will look. Opta have crunched the numbers and have predicted the teams that will finish in the top four.

Arsenal are predicted to win the title on 82 (81.72) points, while Manchester City are second with 76 (75.86) points. The Gunners have been given a 100% chance of qualifying for the Champions League, while City are almost guaranteed a spot in the competition with a 99.55% likelihood.
Aston Villa are predicted to finish third on 70 (69.56) points, while it’s Liverpool who are the club tipped to complete the top four with 65 (64.57) points. United are just behind Liverpool in the predicted table wth 64 (64.34) points, which sees them in fifth place in the final standings.
Liverpool have been given a 47.1% chance of qualifying for the Champions League, while United are slightly less likely with a 44.15% prediction. Finishing fifth would likely be enough for United to qualify for next season’s Champions League, with England on course to maintain their position at the top of UEFA’s coefficients list.
