Takefusa Kubo on his injury: I don’t know what happened; I feel like every part of me was hit

On June 15th , in the first round of the World Cup group stage, Japan drew 2-2 with the Netherlands. Japanese midfielder Takefusa Kubo provided an assist to help Japan score their first goal, but was substituted in the 75th minute after colliding with Dumfries.

After the match, Spain's Cadena SER captured footage of Takefusa Kubo being wheeled out of the stadium in a wheelchair. As he left the field, Kubo spoke to DAZN about his injury.

"I think I'm fine. I don't know what happened just now, to be honest. I felt as if I was hit everywhere. I think I'm okay — let's see what happens next."
