According to The Telegraph, Chelsea players are unhappy with Enzo's leadership during the team's recent poor performance.
The report claims that Enzo, Chelsea's vice-captain, made his future uncertain in a post-match interview after the Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
During Chelsea's four-game losing streak, he also reprimanded his teammates on the field, which annoyed some teammates at a critical time when the club needed to unite to fight for the top five in the Premier League.
It is reported that Enzo has also expressed his dissatisfaction in the locker room several times in the past month after the matches against Paris Saint-Germain, Newcastle and Everton.
Enzo put his future at Stamford Bridge in the spotlight when he was interviewed by ESPN Argentina after the Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. When asked if he could guarantee staying at Chelsea, he said: "I don't know - there are eight league games and the FA Cup left. There's also the World Cup, and then we'll see."
In the first leg against Paris Saint-Germain, Enzo accused his teammate Jørgensen for the latter's mistake at the Parc des Princes that led to a goal conceded. He threw the match ball at the Danish goalkeeper and scolded him for the mistake.
Interestingly, Enzo had previously been deliberately confrontational with former Chelsea players who had left Stamford Bridge on several occasions. But ironically, these players have never publicly stated where their future lies in interviews.
