Ten Hag is confident he can persuade Mason Mount to join Manchester United

Erik ten Hag is confident that he can convince Mason Mount to join Manchester United this summer rather than Arsenal or Liverpool.

Mount, who has one year left on his contract, is expected to leave Chelsea this summer.

Although there is much interest in the England international, ten Hag believes he can get a deal over the line for Mount, as reported by The Telegraph.

Signing the 24-year-old would be a key part of United's summer transfer business, with ten Hag also looking to bring in a striker.

Mount appeared to say goodbye to the club after the 1-1 draw against Newcastle on the final day of the Premier League season.

It has been a frustrating season for Mount as Chelsea have struggled and he has also endured difficulties with injuries.

Mail Sport revealed that United are launching a £55million bid for Mount.

However, that is some way short of Chelsea's valuation of £85million.

A product of Chelsea's academy, Mount has made 195 appearances for the club and has scored 33 goals, while he has provided 37 assists. He won the Champions League in the 2020-21 campaign.
