In the 12th round of the Premier League, Arsenal will host Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium. During a talkSPORT television programme, former Chelsea and England captain John Terry discussed the current situations of Arsenal and Chelsea.

"Gabriel's absence is a huge loss, especially as the upcoming matches are crucial for Arsenal. He has been in outstanding form this year, both in defending his own penalty area and pushing forward to participate in attacks in the opposition's penalty area."

"He has already contributed several goals in set-piece attacks, so his absence is undoubtedly a significant blow. Even if he is only sidelined for a few weeks, he will miss two London derbies that he is very familiar with during this period, so his absence will have a major impact on the team."

"To be honest, in a way, I'm quite relieved that they only conceded two goals against Sunderland, because Arsenal's defensive record has been really solid lately, and I have to admit that."

"Furthermore, the team's two central defenders have been performing excellently in their own right, and with Declan Rice providing defensive cover in front of them, this defensive line can almost be described as impenetrable."

"Arsenal have been performing brilliantly recently and firmly hold the top spot in the league standings, but Gabriel's absence will be a huge loss for them, especially in the coming weeks."

When asked if Chelsea are still among the title contenders, Terry replied: "Look, I have always believed we are title contenders, unless we are no longer in the running (completely out of contention)."

"Arsenal have several tough matches ahead, hosting Tottenham Hotspur and then traveling to face Chelsea, but to be honest, Chelsea must first focus on their own immediate tasks."

"It's true that Chelsea have been inconsistent in some matches this year, but I think this is an inevitable part of the growth process for a young team, and eventually we will definitely gradually close in on the title race."

Chelsea's 18-year-old rising star Estevão stepped up in Palmer's absence and has scored four goals for the Blues in his last eight matches.

"Estevão is definitely a superstar. To achieve such feats at such a young age is truly incredible. I really appreciate the manager's protection of him. I know both the fans and some of us hope he can get more playing time, but for young players, integrating into the team step by step is the right approach."

"We have an away match against Burnley this weekend, and it's an early kick-off. This will be a brand-new experience for Estevão, as he has never played in such an early fixture before. So it will be interesting to see how the manager arranges his appearance then."

"He has already proven in big games that, at his age, he is fully capable of withstanding pressure. Now, the team's focus is no longer entirely centered on Cole as it used to be, and this is actually a good thing."

"Over the past few years, Cole has been under immense pressure to meet everyone's expectations, both in terms of goalscoring and overall performance. Now this pressure has eased somewhat because Estevão has stepped up and started scoring regularly. This change is really good and brings a refreshing feeling."

"When Palmer returns from injury, it will be like Chelsea signing a new player, because he is an extremely top-tier, top-tier player in his own right. The faster he recovers to full fitness, the stronger our starting lineup and overall strength will be, so we really hope he can make a comeback soon. If he and Estevão can be in the team at the same time, our attacking end will definitely become more threatening."
