SciSports use multiple data points including current and potential ability, contract length, form, age, and other crucial factors.

The Man City man is not number one for his country but is valued at €77 million and plays a crucial sweeper-keeper role for Pep Guardiola.

The second-highest valued goalkeeper on our list is Thibaut Courtois at €72m. It seems like the Belgian has been around forever, having featured for Atletico, Chelsea and now Real Madrid, but he is still only 29 which contributes to his high value.

After a shaky first season at Santiago Bernabeu, he has now retained his status as one of the best around.

Ederson's Brazil colleague Alisson is the third most valuable player at €69m.

The Liverpool shot-stopper played a pivotal role in the club winning the Champions League and then the Premier League in successive seasons.

Jan Oblak is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in world football and has held that status for years now due to his exploits for Atletico Madrid. He is fourth and valued at €64m.

In the 2020/21 season his outstanding performances in goal saw Los Colchoneros beat Real Madrid and Barcelona to win La Liga. He would subsequently win the award for La Liga Player of the Season.

Paris Saint-Germain pulled off a coup this summer when they signed Gianluigi Donnarumma on a free transfer from Juventus. He is valued at €60m in fifth place, so certainly an outstanding piece of business from the French giants.

In sixth is Marc-Andre ter Stegen (€51m), possibly Barcelona's most consistent performer over the last few years apart from Lionel Messi.

There are two newcomers on our list in seventh and eighth. First of all there is Mike Maignan, who has replaced Donnarumma admirably this season at Milan. He is valued at €47m. Then, there is Leeds United's Illan Meslier at €40m.

In ninth is Spain and Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Unai Simon, valued at €37m. Rounding off the top 10 is Arsenal's new signing Aaron Ramsdale at €33m.
