The Neymar transfer saga has its own deadline day. The Ligue 1 season begins on the 10th August and, according to 'L'Equipe', that is the date when a decision needs to be made on the future of their Brazilian superstar.
Neymar's current deal runs until 2022 but he's desperate to leave Paris this summer. The ideal move would be a return to Barcelona and talks are expected to pick up in the next couple of days.
For now, PSG are keen to secure Neymar's short-term future at the club. Barça, for their part, are yet to make an official offer. The major sticking point is the difference in valuations between the two clubs.
Leonardo has travelled to China in an attempt to convince Neymar to stay for another season. However, for Neymar, he feels this is all too little, too late and wants everybody to do what they can in order to secure his transfer away.

Barcelona really needs Neymar just as much as Neymar needs Barca. the only problem I see here is that Barcelona do not have the money to purchase Neymar. if Zenit pay £40m for Malcolm and then PSG agree to get Coutinho or Dembele, then Barcelona would place an official offer for Neymar. otherwise my Barca of today can't afford to place an offer worth £200m[Crylaugh][Crylaugh][Crylaugh][Crylaugh]
