Following Ferran Torres' transfer from Manchester City, a large part of the current Spain squad consists of players that are currently plying their trade at Barcelona.
The Blaugrana's contribution to La Roja has been vital over the last few decades, with the Catalan club represented by as many as seven players in the starting line-up of the 2010 World Cup final and another seven in that of the Euro 2012 final.
However, Barcelona's presence at La Roja diminished for a couple of years between 2018 and 2019. In fact, there was no Blaugrana player starting for Spain in a duel against Wales under Luis Enrique. The former Barcelona coach is still in charge of the national team and has been criticised over the years for placing his confidence in certain Blaugrana youngsters such as Pedri or Gavi.

Their latest signing Ferran has scored 12 goals in 22 games with La Roja. He is one of eight Barcelona players in the current Spain set-up, with Nico Gonzalez another player who is expected to knock on Luis Enrique's door should he keep on impressing with his displays at the Catalan club.
The others currently featuring in Lucho's rotation are Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto, Eric Garcia, Sergio Busquets, Pedri, Gavi and Ansu Fati, as they are all getting frequent call-ups to the Spanish national team.
