Morten Boesen is the Denmark national team's doctor and was part of the medical team that saved Christian Eriksen's life on Saturday, during Denmark's Euro 2020 match against Finland.

Afterwards, Boesen explained how the situation unfolded when he and his team ran on to the pitch in Copenhagen.

"We were called onto the field when Christian collapsed," the doctor explained in a press conference.

"He was lying on his side when we approached him. At first, there was respiration and pulse, but that suddenly changed.

"As everyone saw, he received CPR. We quickly got help from the stadium doctor and we got Christian back.

"He spoke to me before he was taken to the hospital."

Eriksen was rushed to a nearby hospital and entered a stable condition. The game was then later restarted.
