The draw for the first round of the Copa del Rey throws up some interesting ties

The draw for the first round of the Copa del Rey has thrown up some interesting ties.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Valencia won't enter the competition until round two due to their involvement in the Supercopa de Espana.

Unlike in previous years, the ties will be played over one leg only, rather than two, and they will be held between December 17 and December 19.

Arguably the most notable tie of the round came when Seville side San Antoniano were drawn at home to another team of the city, Real Betis.

Intercity will host Athletic Club, Bergantinos will host Sevilla, and Becerril will host Real Sociedad, while Yeclano received a bye to the next round.
