Another pair of updates on the Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United transfer saga have been forthcoming on Friday evening.

The name of 5-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo has of course taken centre stage in the media chatter across Europe over the last 24 hours.

This comes with the Portuguese international having essentially demanded a departure from Serie A giants Juventus, on the back of three years in Turin.

And now, on Friday afternoon, a Ronaldo-Red Devils reunion appears imminent.

As per a report from transfer expert David Ornstein of The Athletic, those in a position of power at Old Trafford are ‘on the verge’ of striking a deal with their Juventus counterparts, to lure the club’s one-time prodigal son back to Manchester.

An initial fee of €15 million will be paid to Juventus, accompanied by €8 million’s worth of easily achievable bonuses.
