France head coach Zidane has announced his latest 23-man squad, and Al Hilal left-back Theo has once again been left out. Shortly after the announcement, Theo posted a single "😂" emoji on his social media account, then quickly deleted it.
The post consisted only of the laughing emoji, with no accompanying text, and was removed shortly after it went up.
It is unclear what Theo meant by the post, so it cannot be concluded that he was mocking or expressing dissatisfaction with Zidane's selection.
Theo also missed out on Zidane's first squad as France coach, making this his second consecutive omission.
Theo's brother, Lucas, was also left out of this France squad.
