Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu did not rule out a move for Paul Pogba as he admitted there could still be business done before the transfer window closes in Spain.
Pogba's future as a Manchester United player is uncertain despite the France international being handed the captain's armband for their opening Premier League game against Leicester.
The World Cup winner has seemingly endured a strained relationship with manager Jose Mourinho in the two years since his return to Old Trafford.
And on Friday evening, following the 2-1 win, he admitted he would be fined if he told reporters his true thoughts.
Barcelona have emerged as potential suitors for Pogba, and they still have an opportunity to sign him before the end of the month, with the Spanish window closing on August 31.
Asked about Pogba after his side's 2-1 Super Cup win against Sevilla, Bartomeu said: 'I won't speak of any names, we have respect for all clubs and there are 20 days left.
'We'll see which players come out. We're focused on the league, so it's best to ask [Eric] Abidal, [Ramon] Planes or Pep Segura about players. There's still time to do business.'
Midfield is a key position in the transfer market for Barcelona after they allowed Andres Iniesta to leave the Nou Camp to join Japanese side Vissel Kobe in the summer.
'We are never going to find another Andres Iniesta, that's impossible because there is only one and he is in Japan,' manager Ernesto Valverde said.
'I don't think about signings. I think about my team and preparing for the next match.
'That's my plan, although everything is up in the air until the window closes.'

After carefully analysing the individual performance of the players last night, I personally think we need another striker cos Suarez is not pulling strings at all, he needs a competition, he lacks accurate passes, footwork, he misses a lot of golden chances. The whole of last season in the champion league he scored only once. If messi comes to play from midfield then we are lacking goals. Suarez is a good striker he has really impressed since he move from Liverpool but I think he needs a competition. If we want to win the champion league we need our striker to hit at e back of the net more often. Barca buy another striker

The problem is Barcelona right now this, Barcelona don’t need another midfielder but a striker and a winger. Barcelona need a replacement for Suarez. Because there’s no competition for Suarez, he is misbehaving and playing awful football. He can’t do anything this days with the ball. He can’t make simple passes, he can’t score and he is very lazy. What's the meaning of this move? It doesn't make a sense at all. Barcelona already have 3 good midfielders: Rakitic, Vidal, Busquets. On top of that they have young talent of Arthur. Barça's midfield is already overcrowded and we don't want that Dabbing machine in our team.

I don't think Barcelona needs Pogba, with Vidal and Authur I think that midfield I okay now. . Barcelona should concentrate more now on signing a reliable striker. I think Suarez I really getting old and he always losing focus. Sometimes he forgets he's and always wants to assist. Or coach should try playing Messi false 9. Suarez really messed up on this Super Cup.
