Atletico Madrid players spoke to Flashscore after their 4-0 defeat in Pasadena against fresh European champions Paris Saint-Germain.
After the defeat against PSG, Javi Galan spoke to Flashscore in the mixed zone, starting with accepting the gap between Atletico Madrid and the new European champions.
"I don't think there is that much difference. We beat them in the Champions League. It's clear that we are facing the best team in Europe. The fact that they won the Champions League says it all. They are a great team, just like us."
Galan also admitted that Atletico were easily beaten on the day: "Well, at 4-0, I think we were more or less outclassed. But I don't think the scoreline was that true. In the end, at 2-0, we were down to 10 on the pitch. We were already tired. It's difficult."
On whether the refereeing decisions influenced the result, the Spanish player doesn't get into it: "Well, I don't want to talk too much about the referee. It's true that he had his hands full today, but whatever. We have to evaluate that for ourselves. But the truth is that I don't want to talk."
Asked how he manages to play at this time of day in this heat, Galan said: "It's stifling and difficult. We're not used to playing at this hour, but it's the same for everyone. We have to adapt as quickly as possible.
Galan plans to reset and focus on the next match: "We must not think about it any more. We have to think about correcting mistakes and moving forward."

Oblak: "We must congratulate them"
Then there was Jan Oblak, the Atletico Madrid goalkeeper who was beaten four times last night. He spoke about the heat that influenced the game: "Yes, I think we are disappointed. It was a difficult time to play, but if they asked us, we might as well do it. They showed that they were better, that they were superior.
"We have to congratulate them; I think they are the fittest team in the world."
On the match, Oblak said: "I think we missed a lot in the first half. Well, we were not comfortable, we didn't handle the ball, they pressed us a lot, they ran a lot, they were faster than us.
"And in the second half we played a little bit better, even though we were pressed, and we scored, but, for me, we can do a lot better, we have done it before and we have to do it again."
Koke looks ahead
Atleti captain Koke also appeared in the mixed zone. His foul was the reason why Atletico's only goal was ruled out by VAR.
"I saw many small pushes, many light contacts that were whistled against us. The referee decided like that, and there's nothing we can do about it now," began the Spanish player, who then added: "We were given a caution for every foul. Penalised or not, I leave it to you to judge. We tried to play. It is true that there were some decisions that did not favour us. All the details always seemed to go in their favour."
Koke then looked ahead to the upcoming decisive games: "These games are decided on details. When you get in front of goal, you have to score. And in defence you have to give everything. Today we didn't have the right chances to score. That's where you make the difference.
Koke's conclusion on the quality of PSG: "We know very well how strong they are, how they play, what they can do. For me, if it's not the strongest team in the world, it's definitely one of the top teams. And even the little episodes today all went in their favour'.
