Thiago Silva has made his feeling crystal clear over Mason Mount's seemingly inevitable Chelsea exit.
The centre-back responded to a Chelsea fan account on Instagram repeating claims that the Englishman has agreed personal terms with Manchester United.
Silva commented below with two sad-faced tearful emojis and it appears as though the Stamford Bridge club will be losing their homegrown star.
The Brazilian's reaction on Instagram perhaps indicates the mood of the dressing room, disappointed to lose one of the core members of the group.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Man United have all held an interest in Mount but it is Erik ten Hag's side stepping up their pursuit.
They will accelerate plans to sign the 24-year-old, who has a year left on his current deal, after their FA Cup final against Manchester City on Saturday.
The main hurdle to overcome will be agree a fee; United value Mount at around £55million while Chelsea price the England star at closer to £85m.
Both parties are still willing to engage in negotiations despite being so far apart in their initial valuations.
Talks with Mount over a new contract have failed this season and senior figures at the club are resigned to losing the player who joined as a six-year-old.
Mount, like Chelsea, endured an underwhelming campaign and will be looking to regain his best form wherever he ends up.
Mauricio Pochettino understands the need to trim a bloated squad of more than 30 players and the new manager prefers to work with a smaller group.
Mount could be one of the players Chelsea cash in on, and they are aware of abiding by Financial Fair Play regulations having spent £585m since Todd Boehly took over.
Silva, like Mount, could be on his way out the door despite being voted player of the season and having one year left on his deal.
The club want a defensive clear-out but Silva's family are settled in London and indications are that he wants to stay.
It will be fascinating to see the make-up of the Chelsea squad at the start of the Premier League season, as they face difficulties in the huge squad clear-out planned.
They are expecting cut-price offers from clubs aware of their need to sell and still have a number of players on long-term deals, such as Kalidou Koulibaly and Romelu Lukaku, who may be reluctant to move on.

I will forever be grateful to JT. He was so loyal to his club that he choose to play in championship after he was released of his duty@ Stamford bridge just not to face Chelsea in his football career, not some who accepts to play for direct rivals.

Is that the reason why you chose to sell part of your stadium, grass and seat 🪑 just to survive?. I have never seen a team as useless as Brokelona.
