The coronavirus has brought much of European football to a standstill.

LaLiga Santander, Serie A, Ligue 1, the Premier League and the Bundesliga among many others have all suspended their competitions until April at the earliest.

There are still some European leagues open for business, though, with competitions in Russia, Belarus, Turkey, Hungary, Serbia and Ukraine still being played.

Zenit are currently leading the Russian Premier League and battered Ural 7-1 in St. Petersburg on Saturday.

In Turkey, joint leaders Trabzonspor and Istanbul Basaksehir played out a 1-1 draw on Sunday, with Martin Skrtel scoring an own goal for the hosts and Demba Ba netting for the visitors.

On Sunday evening, Galatasaray and Besiktas face off at the Turk Telekom Arena in a fierce rivalry match.

Across the Atlantic, the Argentinian, Mexican and Brazilian leagues are still going on, while Colombia, Uruguay and the United States have opted to suspend their league fixtures for now.

There are problems in Argentina, with River Plate refusing to play their Copa de la Superliga match against Atletico Tucuman due to coronavirus fears.

The situation in Argentina and Mexico could change very soon as the authorities consider suspending the action.

In Africa, league competitions have stopped, but for 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers rather than coronavirus.
