New Atletico Madrid signing Thomas Lemar arrived in the Spanish capital on Thursday evening.
Lemar was one of the three players to commit to Atletico last month.
He signed for the club from Monaco for £52million while Antoine Griezmann and Lucas Hernandez both agreed new contracts.
After resting up after France won the World Cup in Russia, the 22-year-old finally made the journey to Madrid.
He revealed on Thursday that his French team-mates deciding to stay at the club helped convince him to leave Monaco.
'It was a plus [that Griezmann would be staying], but Atletico have been following me for a long time,' he said.
'I am sure that the words of Griezmann and Lucas gave me the desire to come.'
It also seems as though Griezmann has been informing Lemar just how tough training sessions are at Atletico.
Fitness coach Profe Ortega is renowned for pushing players hard.
'[Griezmann] has already told me about Profe Ortega,' he said.
'He told me he will make me run a lot, but it will be for the good of the team and that will serve us well for the rest of the season.
'I want to get started. I want to meet my team and start in the best way possible.'
His team-mates are currently playing in the International Champions Cup.
They will play Paris Saint-Germain on Monday before a final fixture on August 11 against Inter Milan.

This guy is very good and he will add great qualities to Atletico Madrid squad. This team is really stepping up along with Barcelona and the competition for the league is likely to be decided between the two.But can somebody explain what Monaco is thinking or hoping for? They have now sold almost than 60% of the players that won the league in 2016/17 season for them without convincing replacement.
