Jurrien Timber wants Arsenal to enjoy the Premier League title race after a cagey win over Chelsea saw them move five points clear of Manchester City.
Timber headed home in the 66th minute of an attritional contest at Emirates Stadium to seal a 2-1 victory.
All three goals came from corners, with Arsenal's set-piece proficiency again on show. This was the ninth time in the Premier League this season that Mikel Arteta's team have scored a match-winning goal from a corner, now the outright most by a team in a single campaign (overtaking Manchester United's eight in 2012-13).
Chelsea saw Pedro Neto sent off after picking up two bookings in the space of three minutes – only Sunderland in 2009-10 and Leicester City in 1994-95 (both eight) have had more different players receive a red card in a Premier League season than the Blues in 2025-26 (seven) – though David Raya still had to make a fine save to prevent Alejandro Garnacho scoring a late equaliser.
Man City put the pressure on Arsenal by beating Leeds United on Saturday, but Timber insists the Gunners must learn to enjoy the tussle.
He told Sky Sports: "We have to enjoy it. It is a privilege to be standing here with my team-mates, with Arsenal, we are fighting for these titles.
"You have to enjoy it, it's a beautiful place, and we are enjoying it. Game by game and, at the end, hopefully something beautiful."
Arsenal's 16 goals from corners in the Premier League this season is the joint-most by any side in a single campaign, alongside Oldham Athletic in 1992-93, West Brom in 2016-17, and the Gunners themselves in 2023-24.
However, Chelsea did give them a run for their money, creating several big moments from corners, including when Piero Hincapie headed into his own net on the stroke of half-time, cancelling out William Saliba's opener.
There have now been more goals scored from corners in the Premier League this season (138 in 281 games) than in the whole of last season (135 in 380 games).
"Both sides, it became an important part of the game," Timber said of the set-pieces.
"Today we came out well, and overall we played a good game. We took the three points and then important game on Wednesday [against Brighton] again."

It’s irrelevant how you score, we play to our strengths. We have got to get 3 points and then not lose to City and that’s 1 pot. Hopefully we will already have 1 in there.
