Rafael Le\xE3o confirmed this Saturday that his time at AC Milan has come to an end. The Portuguese international admitted that he has \\

Speaking to Sport TV, the 26-year-old forward didn't hold back his words or leave any suspense in the air.

"Personally, I've given everything I had at AC Milan. It was a club that helped me grow a lot, supported me in tough times. Fortunately, I managed to make my mark in its history. Everyone has challenges they aspire to, and I aspire to a new challenge in a new league. If that happens, I'll be very happy and fulfilled because I did my job at AC Milan," he began.

Asked whether his preferred destination would be England, Spain or Saudi Arabia, the rossoneri star chose to focus on the 2026 World Cup.

"The most important thing now is the World Cup and helping the national team in any way I can. When that moment comes, I'll study the best options to continue my career and keep competing at the top of European football," he said.

Rafael Leão wants to say goodbye to AC Milan after seven seasons of remarkable progress, establishing himself as one of the most feared wingers in world football. Arriving at San Siro in 2019, the Portuguese international was the driving force behind the Scudetto triumph in 2021/22, a season in which he was crowned Serie A MVP.

Over the years, wearing the legendary number 10 shirt, Leão surpassed the 200-game mark and etched his name in rossoneri history, scoring more than 50 goals and providing over 40 assists for the club, as well as leading the team to the Champions League semi-finals in 2023.

The recently concluded 2025/26 season, marked by the failure to qualify for the Champions, ended up being the final chapter for the Portuguese star. Despite Milan's collective ups and downs over the past two years and strong interest from the lucrative market, the forward remained one of the main creative and most decisive forces in attack, but the numbers stopped coming. This season he scored 10 goals and provided 3 assists in 31 matches across all competitions.

At 26, and with his status as a star firmly established at San Siro, Rafael Leão is looking to leave Milan with a sense of mission accomplished and eager to have his passport stamped for his next big adventure... whether in Europe or Saudi Arabia.
