The transfer market rumbles on with rumours and speculation aplenty but there remain a number of players who need decisive action to save their season, and perhaps their careers.
With Financial Fair Play to consider along with rising wages and a huge question mark over each player's ability, it is far from easy for clubs to take a gamble on potentially expensive deals.
ANDRE GOMES (BARCELONA)
Missing out on the World Cup, Gomes may look back on his two seasons so far with Barcelona as wasted, given his inconsistency in his performances and his selection. Far from the rising star the Catalans paid 35 million euros to Valencia for, he is due a change of scenery.
JESE RODRIGUEZ (PSG)
It has certainly been a futile venture to Paris for Jese with two loan spells, at Las Palmas and Stoke City, failing to reinvigorate his career. Thomas Tuchel is taking his squad to Singapore for pre-season and the Spaniard won't be joining them, having not played competitively since mid-March.
RENATO SANCHES (BAYERN MUNICH)
A similar story to Rodriguez, Sanches impressed and earned a move for first-team football at a big club, but that hasn't been the case. Farmed out to Swansea City last season, the Euro 2016 star went backwards and it is hard to imagine Bayern sticking with the 35m euro man for much longer.
LUCAS PEREZ (ARSENAL)
A tally of 17 goals in LaLiga in 2015/16 meant Lucas Perez impressed Arsenal enough to bring him to the Premier League, and yet injuries and a lack of trust from Arsene Wenger saw him return to Deportivo La Coruna. In failing to save the Galicians from relegation, he is now back in England with little hope of playing under Unai Emery.
ANTHONY MARTIAL (MANCHESTER UNITED)
Manchester United needed to give plenty of time and opportunities to get the best out of Martial when they paid 60m euros for him in 2015. Now 22, the Frenchman has made little noticeable progress and is behind Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku in Jose Mourinho's pecking order. Will he be allowed to leave?
DAVID OSPINA (ARSENAL)
Bernd Leno's arrival at Emirates Stadium pushes Colombian goalkeeper Ospina down to third choice, not the rightful place for a national team No. 1. He showed his ability in Russia but needs a team short of a shot-stopper and willing to satisfy his wage demands to come in for him.
ELIAQUIM MANGALA (MANCHESTER CITY)
Nicolas Otamendi, John Stones and Aymeric Laporte are all ahead of the Frenchman at City with Pep Guardiola unlikely to trust him out of the blue. An injury hit loan stint at Everton last year did little to impress the market.
RAFINHA (BARCELONA)
Barcelona host one of the most crowded midfields in all of Europe and thus Rafinha is heading for the exit door. On the club's pre-season tour, the Brazilian can look forward to a rare injury-free preparation before looking for game time, just as he enjoyed at Inter last year.
ALVARO NEGREDO (FREE AGENT)
Negredo reaches this summer at a crossroads, knowing that his next contract could be his last or at least his last major one in football. At Besiktas, the veteran forward enjoyed solid game time and plenty of goals, but he is now searching for something more in this summer's window.
THEO HERNANDEZ (REAL MADRID)
After failing to make an impression as Marcelo's deputy last campaign, the left-back may need to move on to gain experience and return to being the player who starred at Alaves in 2016/17.

Martial being a great player can't leave United. Mourinho doesn't know what he wants, all he just does is hand Ed Woodward a list of players he wants. Rashford can still play as a potential center forward and Sanchez behind the striker. All Mourinho has to do is trust his players and not bring a different line up for every game. Players Luke Martial are still very young, and need a motivator and a coach who can give them chances to play. Players like Sanchez are of high experience but at their age right now, you can't rely on the for the years to come and having a player like Martial will ensure your teams success in the future.

What effort does Marca have to get Theo out of Madrid? Theo is 20 years old and it is true that last season was not good on his part, but from there to have to leave yes or yes, there is a long way. He came to Madrid as a substitute for Marcelo, not to take his place and his departure from the preseason will depend. Anyway if it came out, Madrid would have to bring someone to replace him (Marcelo can not be without a substitute) and that requires a disbursement that may be unnecessary. We will see what happens in all these days and the level that Theo is having with Lopetegui, who will be the one who makes the decision about Theo, no Brand

I remember that at the time Barca wanted Mangalá sold him as a left-handed, corrector and good foot. Martial for his part I think a pretty good player, with a dribble to the height of very few minutes are missing, it would be good to go to Arsenal, it is he who should have gone to Arsenal not Mkithrayan.
