Juventus made it four wins on the trot with a late derby victory over Torino on Saturday as they continue to get their season back on track after a slow start.
Match Reports
The 'Vecchia Signora' didn't win any of their opening four Serie A games this season, but have since won three in a row, as well as beating Chelsea in the Champions League. Juve remain far from the leaders but they are finally heading in the right direction.
This Turin derby was a game largely devoid of quality, with both teams struggling to adapt to their numerous absences.
The visitors, without Alvaro Morata or Paulo Dybala, did improve in the second half, with Juan Cuadrado being their main source of inspiration.
It was a touch of class from Manuel Locatelli which settled the occasion in the end. In the 86th minute he took Federico Chiesa's pass in his stride, set himself quickly and placed the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the area.
It was a goal worthy of winning the game, though supporters will seldom care how a derby win comes about, meaning the disjointed performance will be excused as three points were delivered.
The clean sheet will also be pleasing for Juve as it was the first time in 21 Serie A games that they have managed to not concede. Everything is looking up for Massimiliano Allegri's side.
