Match Report
Inter applied the pressure on Napoli by moving level on points with the Serie A leaders after a routine 2-0 victory over Torino.
With the Partenopei playing Genoa later on Sunday, the Nerazzurri took full advantage with goals from Nicola Zalewski and Kristjan Asllani putting them back on level terms with Antonio Conte's side.
Fresh from reaching the Champions League final in dramatic fashion in midweek, Inter broke the deadlock in the 14th minute as Zalewski curled a brilliant 20-yard shot into the bottom corner.
The hosts went in search of the equaliser and Valentino Lazaro and Adam Masina both should have done better from close range, while Josep Martinez brilliantly denied Che Adams' header in first-half stoppage time.
Simone Inzaghi's side doubled their lead within four minutes of the restart, which was delayed slightly as the referee undertook a further pitch inspection following a heavy downpour.
Asllani calmly sent Vanja Milinkovic-Savic the wrong way from the penalty spot, after the Torino goalkeeper fouled Mehdi Taremi.
Milinkovic-Savic did come to Il Toro's rescue to prevent Inter from stretching their lead, thwarting Joaquin Correa's half-volley in the process.
Torino almost had the final word, but Adam Masina's acrobatic effort in stoppage time was ruled out for a foul in the build-up, as Inter kept their title bid very much alive.

Inzaghi celebrated his 150th Serie A game in charge of Inter with his 100th victory.
Having already registered 108 victories with Lazio, he is only the second manager to win at least 100 games in the competition with two different club, after Nils Liedholm (135 with Roma and 102 with AC Milan).
The Nerazzurri recorded successive Serie A clean sheets for the first time in 2025, while it was Torino's first home defeat of the calendar year.
Later on, the hosts introduced Alessio Cacciamani who, at 17 years and 104 days, became Il Toro's youngest player in Serie A since Fabio Quagliarella (17 years and 104 days) and Jacopo Mariani (17 years and 284 days) - both against Piacenza in May 2000.
