Tottenham moved up to second in Champions League Group B with a resounding win over Red Star Belgrade.
Match Report
Harry Kane and Son Heung-min scored doubles to ease the pressure on Mauricio Pochettino and kick-start Tottenham's Champions League campaign with a comprehensive 5-0 win over Red Star Belgrade.
Spurs have endured a difficult start to the season, with just one win in their previous seven games - including a 7-2 European defeat to Bayern Munich - leading to speculation that Pochettino's position could be under threat.
His side made light work of accommodating opponents on Tuesday, though, as goals from Kane and Son inside the opening 16 minutes gave them the platform for a first Champions League win of the season.
Son added a third in the 44th minute before Erik Lamela and Kane scored in the second half to help Spurs move up to second in Group B, five points behind Bayern.

5-0 Spurs. Some excellent performances and the line up was spot on but far tougher challenges to come. A very good and much-needed result nonetheless.

Tottenham earn their first win in the Champions League this season, hammering Red Star Belgrade 5-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs needed a response from their defeat to Bayern Munich and produced an excellent display to repair the damage done to their goal difference. Son Heung-min and Harry Kane notched two goals apiece, while Erik Lamela also got on the scoresheet in the emphatic victory. Mauricio Pochettino also needed the win to ease the growing pressure on his position in the dugout. It puts his team into second place in Group B and back on the path to the knockout stage. Red Star were outplayed from start to finish and were a tad naive in their approach, resulting in their crushing defeat.
