Mauricio Pochettino played down injury concerns after Moussa Sissoko limped out of Tottenham's penalty shootout defeat to Barcelona in Los Angeles.
Son Heung-min and Georges-Kevin N'Koudou scored as Spurs battled back from 2-0 down at half-time to draw 2-2 before they were beaten 5-3 on spot-kicks, with Anthony Georgiou missing from 12 yards.
On top of Sissoko's knee issue, fellow midfielder Victor Wanyama suffered a knee injury of his own in training, while youngsters Tashan Oakley-Boothe and Kazaiah Sterling as well as Argentina midfielder Erik Lamela are also carrying knocks.
On Sissoko, Pochettino told Spurs TV: 'Yes, I think it's minor. Maybe he was a little bit tired, but I think it's not a big issue.'
He also confirmed the injuries in the rest of the squad are not major, but that the issues ruled them out of the clash with the Spanish champions.
He said: 'Victor in the training session before Roma. I think it was the same problem as last season in his knee. Of course Tashan and then Kazaiah, Lamela of course that is minor, but they cannot be involved in the game.'
The game against Barcelona represented the first occasion on which Tottenham have failed to win during pre-season so far, after they beat Southend United, Brentford and Roma.
Pochettino's team have two more warm-up fixtures remaining, against AC Milan and Girona, before the Premier League campaign gets underway when they travel to face Newcastle on August 11.
Tottenham have yet to make any major signings this summer, with time running out for Pochettino to bring in reinforcements before the transfer window closes on August 9.

If it does all finally click with him he could be one hell of a player, problem is consistency within just 90 minutes is not there, seems if he misses a pass or makes a mistake suddenly his whole game crumbles.

Signs of improvement last year. Maybe he'll hit the ground running after a decent pre season.

He is a powerful midfielder but lacks the first touch of the other players around him! Think he¿s better in the middle than out wide! Tea da the end of the season he looked better and tried! He gets proper grief from the crowd so it isn¿t easy for him!

Poch plays him to justify spending 30m on him, personally I don't think he should be anywhere near the second string let alone the first.

Clueless in the last third, you watch him he either stops and plays the ball backwards or loses possession.

Unbelievable that this clown earns £80,000 per week. Just think about that.

For me it¿s the lack of technical ability, lack of good first touch, when he tries to control the ball with his chest it like a richocett off a 50p, no ideas in final 3rd. A trier, worker, but the least competent footballer in the squad for me. Not good enough for our level these days.

He seems a nice guy, one of the worst players to put on the Spurs shirt, yes, I hope he proves me wrong!

Not good enough. Should be shipped out.

He lacks the massive confidence that only comes about from being a good consistent class player. He must improve his skills set this year or else. Being good on its own just isn't enough I'm afraid, and you have to bring something special consistently to the table.

I agree with you Mike, However, I must say I was very impressed with a few of the younger lads out there yesterday. I think the team as a whole played very well. So we are still there and working hard to prepare for the new season, therefore, I am looking forward to seeing the next game.

I watched the game & I've always stuck up for Sissoko with all the hate that comes his way I always thought he had strengths in running on & off the ball etc however yesterday he was poor & given the run around. Most probably came off because he couldn't hack it. We need better technical players in midfield.
