AS has been informed that Real Madrid have been talking to the London club over the past months with a move to the Spanish capital a possibility next summer.
Real Madrid are closely monitoring Danish player Christian Eriksen's unfolding season. The Tottenham midfielder's current deal expires with the Premier League side in 2020 and has currently yet to be extended.
The relationship between the London based outfit and Real Madrid is a good one and after receiving a call approximately two months ago from a Real Madrid representative, Daniel Levy named his price for any possible move to the LaLiga side.
Madrid would need to make Eriksen the most expensive player in history with a fee of 250 million euro demanded for his services by the Tottenham chairman.
Contract renewal
The high price tag has momentarily diluted Madrid's interest in the Dane, who they see as a perfect replacement for Luka Modric but the Spanish club are not prepared to pay such an inflated current asking price. Madrid club officials are acutely aware that should Spurs and the player fail to agree a contract extension, they would have to reduce the asking price for the midfielder's services. Should the player not elect to stay with the Premier League, Levy faces a conundrum next summer with the player becoming a free agent as of June 30, 2020, something that may force his hand regarding the price-tag on Eriksen's services.
Media sources in the UK maintain that a deal may even be struck as soon as the summer of 2019 and anticipate a price-tag of closer to 100 million euro to be associated for Eriksen's move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
At present Madrid are prepared to play the waiting game as they look for a replacement for the 33-tear-old Luka Modric. Dani Ceballos was bought from Real Betis with this in mind but as yet has still to convince that he is ready to fill the Croatian's boots.

Erikson always know his destiny. He happy and stay put. The start of spurs dominating football has already begun. Real Madrid need to sort out it own manager issues first.

£250? He'll end up losing him for free, just like he lose Alderwierld for only £25, set his asking price at £140, your asking to much for a player that isn't worth as much as neymar and Mbappe and they are above his level, if levy had sense he would offer a contract worth £250,000 a week to Eriksen. Well Madrid we'll be getting a world class player for free. Chelsea isn't dumb they set Hazard fee at 170 and it would be lower if we include kovacic.

He could go to Madrid for free and use that money for Kane. Real Madrid don't just need Hazard, instead a player who can deliver something closer to the G. O. A. T. goal ratio. only Kane, Salah, Mbappe, Neymar can be close to that I think.
