Roma are planning to make a summer move for Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as long as Jose Mourinho is still their manager, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The 26-year-old was on the radar of Mourinho last summer, as first revealed by this site.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Roma have their sights on a new swoop for Hojbjerg going into the main window.
Tottenham value the Denmark international at around the £25million mark.
The midfield anchorman has been a regular under Antonio Conte as well as his predecessors Nuno Espirito Santo and Mourinho.
The Portugese made Hojbjerg a key member of his team after sanctioning a £15m move from Southampton in the summer of 2020.

He has been one of the few outright successes of the Spurs recruitment team in recent years, and his value has increased during his time in north London.
Mourinho hailed the central midfielder in December 2020 as “a phenomenal player” who possesses a “genius” to his game, remarking “congratulations Mr Levy” for signing him from Southampton.
Hojbjerg remarkably played every single minute of Spurs' Premier League campaign last term when Mourinho was in charge.
Any move is dependent on the Portugese remaining in charge of Roma, something that appears up in the air following his sending-off controversy at the weekend.
This season, he has started 21 of the club's 23 league matches and has accumulated 32 appearances across all competitions.
Of all the players at Tottenham, only Harry Kane (2780) has been on the pitch for more minutes than Hojbjerg (2516) this season.
