Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan made important statements regarding the current state of affairs within the Claret-Blues community. He revealed that there are numerous official offers for new signings and also offered a clear message regarding the future of goalkeeper Onana.
The future of Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana, whom Trabzonspor loaned from Manchester United at the start of the season, is being questioned. Ertuğrul Doğan, the club's president, made some striking statements about the star player. Speaking to a local channel, Doğan explained the truth about Andre Onana at Trabzonspor:
"What's the truth about Onana? We're talking about a goalkeeper who was transferred a year ago for €70 million. Moreover, he has a high salary. It's impossible for Trabzonspor to offer these figures. Why not? Let me explain. Our rivals make between €100-150 million from their stadiums. They sell 700,000-800,000, or even a million jerseys. Their lodges are full. Their boilers are finished months in advance. If we look at ourselves, there's no one buying the jerseys, no one buying the lodges, no one buying the season tickets. We have to act accordingly. The mill can only go so far with transported water."
