Troyes 1-2 PSG: Icardi & Hakimi fire in 2 mins to spare PSG from loss

Paris Saint-Germain got back to winning ways after their loss to Lille in the Trophee des Champions with a 2-1 victory over Troyes in their 2021/22 Ligue 1 opener.

Match Report

Mauricio Pochettino's side fell behind on nine minutes when Oualid El Hajjam opened the scoring for the hosts but claimed the three points thanks to two goals in two minutes from Achraf Hakimi and Mauro Icardi.

The first goal came from a corner which was headed home by El Hajjam, giving Keylor Navas no chance in goal.

Ander Herrera responded quickly for the Parisians, hitting the side netting in what was warning for Troyes, before the Spaniard played the ball over the defence for Achraf to rifle home the equaliser.

Herrera was involved again for the eventual winner when he played the ball to Kylian Mbappe in the box who squared for Icardi and the Argentine prodded the ball home with the outside of his foot.

Sergio Ramos is still waiting to make his debut for his new side, while many are waiting anxiously to see if the Parisians can finalise a deal with Lionel Messi after he left Barcelona earlier in the week.
