Thomas Tuchel has made 'a very confused impression' in his time at Bayern Munich, according to ex-German international Dietmar Hamann, who declares the manager must win the Bundesliga title or face being rapidly dismissed.
Tuchel, 49, stepped into the hotseat at the Allianz Arena following the removal of Julian Nagelsmann in March. He was previously in charge at Chelsea before being ejected from the manager's job at Stamford Bridge in September 2022.
Despite walloping Borussia Dortmund in his first league game, more recent results have not ended so favourably for Bayern.
They dropped to second in the Bundesliga table - one point behind Dortmund - following Saturday's results, and it followed exits from the Champions League and the German Cup.
Hamann, who started as a youth player for Bayern Munich before rising to their first team, said Tuchel's first month in charge was not conclusive, with just two wins across seven matches in all competitions.
As reported by Ruhr Nachrichten, Hamann said: 'The leadership may be confused, but the coach also makes a very confused impression in his four weeks so far.
'If he also gambles away the championship, it's clear that he'll be fired.'
It has previously been reported that the Bayern Munich board will meet before the season is over to discuss the futures of three senior figures at the club.
Tuchel, CEO Oliver Kahn and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic are all potentially under fire for the club's poor form.
Their exits might be hastened, with Hamann backing Borussia Dortmund to complete the German season as league winners, as they took top spot with a 4-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.
'Now they have it in their own hands and should not give up the lead in the standings,' the former Liverpool and Man City midfielder said. 'I can well imagine them winning the last five games.'
While Tuchel was brought in to improve performance at Bayern, the 49-year-old Hamann says that this has not happened.
'I've rarely seen a change of coach where things get worse in the short term. That's exactly what happened at Bayern,' Hamann said.
Following Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Mainz, Bayern Munich next play at home to Hertha Berlin on Sunday, the first of their final five games of the league campaign.

Anything concerning Chelsea is a big messed up this season. Chelsea sacked tuchel and Hired Graham Potter then tuchel his signing Marc cucurella to do the wonders and Potter was sacked by Chelsea then Bayern Munich sacked nagelsman for absolutely no reason to employ Chelsea's formal boss tuchel then nagelsman send his former player both at Leipzig and Bayern Munich upamaguire to do the dirty Job. now tuchel is at the brick of sacking... Moral lessons: What goes around comes around 😂😂😂
