According to Corriere dello Sport, Montella will continue to serve as the coach of the Turkish national team, even though the team was eliminated before the FIFA World Cup. Ibrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, president of the Turkish Football Federation, also denied claims that Hakan Çalhanoğlu influenced player selection.
Villas to be gifted
Regarding the villas previously promised to the players, Hacıosmanoğlu stated that these homes would also be delivered. The Turkish Football Federation has received $14 million in prize money from FIFA, with additional funds, which will then be equally distributed among all players who participated in the World Cup qualifiers.
He said the villas would be built in Mandalya Bay, located in Güllük Bay on the Aegean Sea, spanning the Milas and Bodrum districts. This area is known for its clear waters, archaeological sites near the ancient city of Iasos, and yacht tourism.
