Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly wants to complete two transfers at Manchester United this week - and tie another two current players down to new deals.

The Red Devils boss has already signed Daniel James from Swansea City in a deal worth £18million and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace for £50m.

And reports say the Norwegian is looking to add another defender to his ranks by landing West Ham centre-back Issa Diop this week.

French publication L'Equipe report that United are yet to make an offer for the centre-back but are set to table one in a bid to land the Frenchman.

United made a £70million bid for Harry Maguire on Tuesday, but Leicester City rejected it, seemingly pricing the Red Devils out of a deal for the England international.

The second player United boss Solskjaer wants to get a deal over the line for this week, according to The Star, is Sean Longstaff from Newcastle.

The midfielder will set the Red Devils back £25m and is a cheaper alternative to other targets on Solskjaer's wishlist, namely £35m-rated Bruno Fernandes.

Solskjaer is keen to bring the duo in before the Manchester United squad head to Australia and the Far East for their pre-season tour, which kicks off on July 8.

In addition to signing Longstaff and Diop, Solskjaer also wants to tie down David De Gea and Dean Henderson to new contracts.
