Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly wants to complete two transfers at Manchester United this week - and tie another two current players down to new deals.
The Red Devils boss has already signed Daniel James from Swansea City in a deal worth £18million and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace for £50m.
And reports say the Norwegian is looking to add another defender to his ranks by landing West Ham centre-back Issa Diop this week.
French publication L'Equipe report that United are yet to make an offer for the centre-back but are set to table one in a bid to land the Frenchman.
United made a £70million bid for Harry Maguire on Tuesday, but Leicester City rejected it, seemingly pricing the Red Devils out of a deal for the England international.
The second player United boss Solskjaer wants to get a deal over the line for this week, according to The Star, is Sean Longstaff from Newcastle.
The midfielder will set the Red Devils back £25m and is a cheaper alternative to other targets on Solskjaer's wishlist, namely £35m-rated Bruno Fernandes.
Solskjaer is keen to bring the duo in before the Manchester United squad head to Australia and the Far East for their pre-season tour, which kicks off on July 8.
In addition to signing Longstaff and Diop, Solskjaer also wants to tie down David De Gea and Dean Henderson to new contracts.

Mctominay is actually meant to be more attacking minded. Longstaff would be the DM, Mctominay box-to-box. It would almost be like when we had Carrick and Fletcher in Midfield....

watched longstaff play against Liverpool,Chelsea, and man city and was terrific and gardiola's comment on the man city game against new castle was the DM of new castle caused a lot of problem for us. so i think longstaff is a better DM than mctominay and would be a good deal

He'll be such a talent after one season and valued as high as £60m. Ole wants a young holding Midfielder and another CM. Many will see this as a smart move in few months of football.

Tottenham signing players like Tanguy Ndombele to play in their new stadium whilst we’re being linked with players in the same position like Declan Rice and Sean Longstaff whilst Old Trafford rots away with no repairs in sight. You hate to see it.
