FC Barcelona is considering drastic action after its defeat against Atlético Madrid (2-0) in the Champions League quarter-final first leg. FC Barcelona strongly believes the refereeing decisions influenced the result, sparking anger throughout the club.
Head coach Hansi Flick did not hold back, saying: “I don’t understand what the hell VAR is for… it’s a penalty and a second yellow card for Pubill.” His frustration reflects a wider feeling within the squad, as players like Ronald Araújo also questioned the referee’s decisions.
