UEFA says it is taking no action against Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos for a clash with Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius in the Champions League final.
A disciplinary rule which allows cases to be opened for serious misconduct not seen by the match officials 'is not applied in this case,' UEFA says.
Ramos struck Karius's head with his right elbow in an off-the-ball incident when the score was 0-0 early in the second half of Madrid's 3-1 win on Saturday.
Television replays also appeared to show Ramos being pushed toward Karius by Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk.
UEFA says: 'No other protest has been lodged.'
Ramos angered fans of Liverpool and Egypt for his earlier challenge that ended Mohamed Salah's game due to an injured left shoulder, and almost 500,000 fans have signed a petition for him to be punished.
The issue was sustained during a tussle with Ramos, who appeared to lock arms with the influential former Chelsea forward before an awkward landing.
Such an incident has divided opinion and sparked renewed debate regarding the Real captain's defensive methods.
Siding with the likes of former Egypt striker Mido in believing that Ramos acted intentionally is the creator of a Change.org petition that is well on its way to hitting an intended target of 500,000 signatures by Tuesday afternoon.

What will Real do before they get sanctioned? They have clearly bought UEFA . If this was any other team , trust me. We would have seen something done ✅ shame on UEFA

please stop adding sentiment to this, is not about Madrid neither salah, but is about something was missing on that day, fun, pleasure, and fair play. the atmosphere was so high and immediately the incident happen, things went dull, think about the distance for those who travel down, however, no value for there money, it could have been better, if the ball went head to head winning , guy alot got missing.

Did you all day anything about Payet did to CR7 in EURO? Ramos injured Salah but it wasn't on purpose! Those fouls are just like others. I think the people that signed are Barca fans not Egyptians. Real Madrid won a fair game!

If UEFA not going to sanction Ramos, leave them alone, come next champions league all the qualifying teams will also start introducing wrestling & judo into the game. Since UEFA does not believe in fair play anymore, indiscipline will set into the game which the referee could not control any more. What sort of organization is this? For one player elbow a goalkeeper & go on dislocate a player hand on the blind side the officials, and nothing wrong with that then is serious. Where is Fifa fair play? If what Sergio Ramos did was ok & does not need sanction then l bet UEFA next year, they should expect more wrestling & judo into the game .
