UEFA want the European football season to be finished by the end of June with hope that the Champions League and Europa League can both be concluded this summer, according to reports.
Football across the continent has been shut down due to the coronavirus outbreak with domestic leagues and the Champions League and Europa League all suspended.
UEFA are meeting on Tuesday to decide how to move forward with discussions planned for how to proceed with the Champions League, Europa League and Euro 2020.
According to The Telegraph, UEFA wants this season's Champions League and Europa League campaigns to be concluded and the continent's domestic leagues all to resume at the same time.
Premier League clubs are expected to discuss UEFA's plans in their own meeting on Thursday.
But with the suspension of English football expected to be extended and with nine or 10 matches still to be played for each team, it seems unlikely the English top-flight will be able to make the end of June deadline.
To ensure this season’s Champions League and Europa League competitions are completed and next season’s competitions start at the normal time, UEFA needs Europe’s leagues to restart together.
With soaring temperatures in a number of European countries through June, July and August, it would be too hot to play then. That is why UEFA wants the season to be over by the end of June.
Suggestions to ensure this happens include having the semi-finals and final of the Champions League and Europa League played over a four-day period in the same city.
The Champions League final is set to be played in Istanbul with the Europa League showpiece currently pencilled in for Polish city Gdansk.

You have to know what you are talking about before talking. UEFA knows what would happen to everyone if the season doesn’t end. More clubs will be in debt. No transfers can happen because they don’t have the resource. Many players won’t get paid.

Kid you have no idea what you are talking about. Do you know if the league season doesn’t end. Many clubs will be in deep waters with the finance ? Clubs would be relegated because they can’t pay the players, the stadium and everything especially the smaller clubs. It would never be the same after that.
