Ugarte ready to leave Man Utd as Juventus, Newcastle and Tottenham prepare bids

Manuel Ugarte spell at Manchester United is set to end this summer as he is linked with several clubs.

The 24-year-old, who joined from PSG in 2024 on a deal running until 2029 has failed to live up to expectations since arriving in the Premier League where he has just single goal to his name.

Ugarte had been linked to an exit in January and last summer but nothing ever came of the rumours as United stuck by the Uruguayan who is yet to repay their patience.

Now, as United close in on Champions League football, interim manager Michael Carrick and his team seem keen on rebuilding a midfield which does not include Casemiro and Ugarte.

According to Corriere dello Sport and The Mirror, Juventus are ready to pay around £35M to secure Ugarte who was signed from PSG for around an initial fee of £42.1M.

Premier League rivals Newcastle and Tottenham are also linked, as The Magpies are set to lose Sandro Tonali and Spurs will need a complete rebuild if they survive relegation under new manager Roberto De Zerbi.

With United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo set to be handed a contract extension in the coming weeks, Ugarte is clearly not in the club’s plans for the future especially as they restructure the side ready for European football once again.

Juventus currently sit fifth in Serie A, outside the Champions League places by a point with seven matches of the season remaining. The Italian giants are far from title challengers and Ugarte could be the next United player to leave his mark on the Serie A if he turns the side around.
