Bayern Munich stars Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala are having to be split up from the rest of the squad as Bavaria tightens it restrictions due to a spike in Covid cases.
The trio are unvaccinated and as a result they have been banned from staying in the same hotel as their team-mates ahead of a match and must travel to games separately too, according to Kicker.
Bayern face an away game at Augsburg in the Bundesliga on Friday night and following the new sanctions have had to alter their plans accordingly.
There'll be no such issue on Tuesday when the German giants head to Ukraine to face Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League but they'll face the same obstacle when they return to Germany.
The issue could be particularly disrupting for Julian Nagelsmann's side as they have a tricky clash at bitter rivals Borussia Dortmund on December 4 too.
However, there is nothing they can do as Bavaria looks to counter the surge of coronavirus.
The German southern state has been struggling with rising Covid infections and increasing pressure on intensive care units, which are approaching 600 per 100,000.
On Tuesday, the number of Covid infections registered in the state reached 554.2 per 100,000 people within seven days - far higher than the nationwide seven-day incidence of 312.4. As a result, the hospital traffic light warning system is now at red - its highest possible level, as per The Local.
Minister President of Bavaria Markus Soder said there was no choice but to implement a 'a kind of lockdown for the unvaccinated' due to the increasing pressure on hospitals and medical staff.
One of these measures includes unvaccinated people in Bavaria being banned from visiting restaurants and hotels - hence Kimmich, Gnabry and Musiala's newly-imposed restrictions.
