Gallardo will win nothing with either Barca or Argentina. The Xavi Messi Iniesta is over for Barca to win anything big in UEFA, and Argentina don't have players of the kind like Maradona , Kempes , Ardilles , Batista ,Buru, Ruggeri , Goyco , Valdano,Passarella just to name.a few. Riverplate style of football will not win you European success, and Riverplate style for the National team will be another disaster if it is played against European teams. Argentina presently cannot make it out of the round of 16 in any age format of international football , Their level of football has dropped drastically and presently I don't think there are coaches in Argentina who could successfully lift them. The 2 coaches left in Europe's big teams ( El cholo and Poch )will need time and a long stint with the National team to progress to a final and unfortunately Argentina are not producing Assembly line out of the world talent anymore and Barcelona have given up their football philosophy and have become more of a Finiance Trading Institution, where players are traded and sold like Shares on the Stock Exchange. However good luck to Gallardo.
