Barcelona's 4-3 defeat to Real Betis will live long in the memory of the onlooking neutrals, however Ernesto Valverde was left frustrated by Gerard Pique's wanton attempts to find an equaliser in the closing stages of the encounter.
With the Seville club leading 4-2 and Ivan Rakitic having been shown a red card, which came from Pique being further up the pitch than he should have been, the former Athletic Club coach was desperate to avoid conceding any more.
As the former Manchester United defender remained in an attacking position, Valverde desperately tried to get the message across from the side-line that he needed to retreat.
"Gerard, where are you? F***, again?" he exclaimed.
"Let's not concede another Gerard!"

pique is a great player.. in times like this, he convert himself into an attacking player which most great defenders like Ramos, John Terry, and the rest of them often do. but it is quite unfortunate that we didn't get the equalizer. if he had come up with a goal to seal a point, he would have been the best defender... but he didn't get one and we ended up criticizing him. he is not the only one to be blamed for the defeat. everyone one needs to shoulder the responsibility and pick up from there rather than criticizing Gerard pique. we loose we win, we play... we cry we celebrate ,together we can conquer the season.
