Vandals destroy mural of Eberechi Eze in Arsenal kit

A MURAL of Eberechi Eze outside of the Emirates has been defaced by vandals ahead of his move to Arsenal.

A well-known street artist knocked up a painting of the Crystal Palace and England star after the Gunners pinched him from under the noses of bitter rivals Tottenham.

Renowned street artist and Arsenal fan Northbanksy unveiled the artwork on social media on Thursday.

The mural is part of his self-styled Arsenal street art gallery known as ‘The Tunnel’.

It showed Eze in his trademark celebration, in an arsenal shirt.

But a vandal defaced the artwork in the early hours of Saturday morning by pouring white paint all over it.

SunSport obtained exclusive footage of the aftermath of the shocking vandalism.

Eze, 27, is set to become Arsenal's SEVENTH signing of the summer.

The Gunners are set to pay £67million for their former academy star's services.

The deal will take the north Londoners' summer spending to a whopping £250MILLION.

But Mikel Arteta has hinted that Eze may not be the last new face through the Emirates door before the transfer window shuts on September 1.

The Spaniard said: "We are all with big smiles on our faces, understanding that we have done really well.

"But the market is not closed.

"We have to stay very alert because there are a lot of things that can happen.  But, so far, so good."

Arsenal kicked off their Premier League campaign with a 1-0 win over Manchester United last Sunday.

The Gunners will welcome recently-promoted Leeds United to the Emirates this evening.
