Vazquez: This win will help Real Madrid recover positive feelings

Eight months after his last goal, Lucas Vazquez got on the scoresheet against Roma to round off Real Madrid's 2-0 win.

He was thrilled to have scored and also for the boost to the team's confidence that the three points will bring.

"We played a good match and this will help us to recover positive feelings after a very poor match against Eibar," he said after the game.

"We ran like a team and we competed well.

"We don't always play differently in the Champions League, but we came from a very bad match and wanted to turn the situation around.

"Matches are more and more difficult and this one was very even.

"We were fortunate enough to score and then, in the second half, the play got better."

His goal celebration also came up, with the winger dedicating the goal to his son.

"I hadn't scored in a long time and I had to wait for a while," he said.

"I was very keen to dedicate the goal to my son."

The Spaniard also praised Marcos Llorente's performance, saying he had a 10 out of 10 showing.
