Venezuela president 'signs' for Barcelona: They called me for training

In a video with Rafael Lacava, governor of Caraboba, Venezuela president Nicolas Maduro donned a Barcelona tracksuit and joked about him signing for the club.

He was speaking about the spread of coronavirus in Venezuela, where Carabobo has no reported cases, while there are 345 in Spain and 148 have passed away.

"Long live Barcelona!" Maduro joked.

"They called me for Barcelona training."

When asked by Lacava if he was joining to play as a striker, Maduro responded that he'd be a back-up option.
