Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has come to the defence of Kylian Mbappe following the forward's outburst during the Parisien's 5-2 win against Montpellier on Sunday.
Mbappe had been embroiled in a public row with team-mate Neymar after the attackers had a disagreement over who should take PSG's second penalty.
The Frenchman was also seen seen making gestures after Vitinha did not pass him the ball during an attacking phase, which led to the forward being slammed on social media.
Yet Verratti has defended Mbappe. Speaking to Le Parisien after PSG's victory over Montpellier, Verratti said: 'Kylian is a player who always wants to do well.
'I think that with the missed penalty, he was sulking a little bit, but that's normal, he's a great player, he always wants to make the difference and when he misses something, he's disappointed, that's normal.
'But then he showed it with the first goal where he was decisive and then with another goal.
'But it pleases me when he's angry, because it means he cares a lot about this team, that he wants to do well, that he wants to make the difference.'
The incident resulted in Neymar liking a number of posts on social media taking aim at Mbappe, but reports have suggested that the pair have reconciled.
The two attackers held crunch talks alongside PSG sporting director Luis Campos, which resulted in the duo putting their differences behind them.
The Parisiens visit Lille in their next Ligue 1 clash on Sunday as they look to continue their unbeaten run under newly-appointed head coach Christophe Galtier.

I remember Messi won a penalty and gave it to Ramos during the preseason. The penalty Neymar and Mbappe were dragging, Messi won it. He doesn't even say anything. He will just be there looking at them.
