Victor Osimhen has regularly been linked with a move to the Premier League amid reported interest from Manchester United and Chelsea and he has now shared his stance on a move
Victor Osimhen has cooled talk of a move to the Premier League by hinting he wants to “continue” with Galatasaray. The Nigerian hitman was one of the most sought-after strikers in world football last season.
Chelsea were strongly linked with a move for him but failed to thrash out a deal with Osimhen’s parent club Napoli. Manchester United were also reportedly interested in him.
And with Osimhen’s loan deal with Galatasaray set to expire this summer - and little chance of him having a future in Italy - the Premier League duo could reignite their interest. He could potentially be even cheaper with a reported price tag of around £40m.
But it appears that Osimhen has no interest in moving on from Galatasaray. He said: “It’s a great feeling. It’s great that they [young fans] are inspired by watching me, that they are wearing the masks. I thank God. I hadn’t seen this much before coming to Galatasaray.
“Everyone showing this much love, the children shouting at the tunnel exit… I will continue to make them proud. The team winning, me scoring… I want to continue as they know me. If I can inspire my teammates’ children, that makes me very happy.”
Osimhen has enjoyed a sensational season with his loan club. His brace against Sivasspor on Saturday saw him make it 33 goals throughout the campaign in all competitions.
And that saw him eclipse the 31 that he netted for Napoli during the 2022/23 season as the Italian side ended their long wait for the Italian crown. Speaking about his achievement, Osimhen added: “It was important to break my record in my first season.
"I am at one of the most important clubs in the world. The biggest club in Türkiye. I would like to thank my family and friends for helping me. I would like to thank the technical team and the club staff.

“They never left me alone. This season is a memory that I will remember for the rest of my life. Apart from goals and assists, I like to help the team. I want to get the ball in the future, help the midfield, do my best for the team. The team comes first for me.
“When I convert opportunities into goals, it makes me happy. The important thing is not Victor Osimhen, but the team. Roland is also very important. We can say the same thing for Mario, Torreira and Sanchez.”

And if you don't move this summer your price goes to $15m or less, unless Gala has money to buy....Napoli will not be such stupid to let yr value dropped to zero..
Galatasay wanted to buy him in january for 65m and napoli rejectee so is very clear.

As napoli fan he has 2 more years of contract. If he does not find a club, he is going to wacht fooball from the tv is that simple. He doesn’t care what clib he plays he inly ones 1M a month. That is ehy is difficult to sell him. His price won’t go down because he renew with napoli before moving to a loan thag was the condition.

The only opportunity Manchester United have and will ever have to sign a world top striker at a cheap price is Victor Osimhen. If they fail they lose. They will never see another Osimhen to sign that cheaply.
