Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal stormed out of Tuesday's training session after learning he would not start against Real Madrid on Wednesday, sources have told ESPN.
Vidal, 32, usually stays on after training for shooting practice with a number of other first-team players but left early when coach Ernesto Valverde revealed he would sit on the bench in the Clasico.
Several players tried to comfort Vidal but the Chilean international, who the club fear could now push for a January move away from Camp Nou, could not be calmed down.
Inter Milan, coached by Antonio Conte, who worked with Vidal previously at Juventus, are long-time admirers of the former Bayern Munich man.
Barcelona are aware of the comments he made in Chile last month, when he said if he wasn't playing and didn't feel important he would have to move on.
Since then, he's started just once -- a meaningless match against Inter in the Champions League -- and has seen Ivan Rakitic, who had previously made just one start in 17 games, return to the team ahead of him.
In total, he has made 17 appearances this season, scoring four goals, but 12 of those outings have been as a substitute.

So be it, Vidal start packing your belongings for January is only eleven days ahead.... Barcelona is more a club, and is bigger than your imagination, before u there was Barcelona and after you wouldn't be different. Barcelona will beat RM with or without you. Up Barca

Valverde encourages the club to buy players he knows will little use for them. For me vidal is more important to barca as at now than Rakitic but i still dont understand why barca bot him in first place knowing fully well they ored hav a wealth of midfielders. In match like el classic, u need vidal strength not Rakitic

Well it's seem like this man time in barcelona is over. i didn't understand why barca signed him at first, but he was wonderful for this club. but the truth is that he is not the best midfielder choice as barca have De Jong, Arthur, and Busquets.

Can understand his frustration. Its arguably his last few years in the game so you can feel his desire to play. People on here commenting he should go, have you not considered that this man is the only player with balls in your team cos he wants to play and has the passion. The rest if your squad are happy being rotation options but this man wants to put his heart and soul into playing for your team without fear and you want him gone. Despicable....
