Former AC Milan and Juventus striker Pietro Paolo Virdis is excited about Italy's young centre-forwards.
Virdis is convinced of big things from Inter Milan striker Francesco Pio Esposito and Lecce's Francesco Camarda, on-loan from AC Milan this season.
He said on RAI Radio 1: "It's a good time for strikers, we have to take advantage of it.
"Francesco Pio Esposito is a wonderful addition, a surprise. Now (Rino) Gattuso has a lot of choice in attack, we hope he can also make it to the other positions."
Virdis, on if he can see Camarda succeed at Milan, he also said: "I'd be happy. I was surprised when the boy made his first few appearances and then wasn't consistently retained.
"This raised doubts in me, but I hope the future will dispel them."
