West Ham 1-1 Aston Villa highlights: Said Benrahma goal helps Hammers escape relegation zone

West Ham United will be looking to move out of the Premier League’s relegation zone when they take on Aston Villa this afternoon (Sunday).

The Hammers go into the game off the back of a 2-0 win over Cypriot side AEK Larnaca in the first leg of their Europa Conference League round of 16 clash on Thursday night, with that game ending just over 66 hours before kick-off against Unai Emery’s Villa side.

For West Ham, it will see them play a Villa side who currently sit 11th in the table, 11 points and seven league places above the Hammers.

Irons boss David Moyes will be without at least two players for the game. Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is ruled out until next month after fracturing his cheekbone and eye-socket during last month’s win over Nottingham Forest. Right-back Vladimir Coufal is also set to miss out with a heel injury which forced him off in the same match.

There are also injury doubts over the trio of midfielder Lucas Paqueta, striker Michail Antonio (both calf) and midfielder Flynn Downes (ankle) following the win over Larnaca. However, both Paqueta and Downes were pictured by the club in training on Saturday.

Such a good run from Bowen to skip past Villa's left side and cut inside, could not quite get the shot off, Benrahma did, but could not get much on it, straight at Martinez.

Benrahma does well down the left off of Rice's long pass, his deflected cross is cut out by Martinez, before Soucek can get there.

A double change for them, Moreno and Bailey off for Digne and Traore.

Rice's corner finds Emerson at the back post, can't get a good touch on it though.

West Ham have bossed much of this first half, Benrahma forcing to saves out of Martinez.

Zouma with a superb sweeping pass in to Benrahma, who cut inside and shot from range. Martinez tips over superbly.

This game really opening up but neither side can get that final pass to work. Emerson with a crucial header a moment ago, but after Kehrer played Bowen in, no chance could come from it.

Great skill from Paqueta there to start a counter. Ings plays him in, Paqueta, can't quite shoot but drives the ball through to Benrahma, who eventually shoots wide from range.

Benrahma volleys at Martinez inside 20 seconds of the second half. Both him and Bailey then clash heads, but both are okay.

Paqueta gets us back in action.
