West Ham and Palace 'hoping to sign Batshuayi from Chelsea in summer'

West Ham United and Crystal Palace are hoping to sign Michy Batshuayi, Per DH via Sport Witness.

Another unwanted Chelsea star is attracting Premier League interest as he seemingly nears a Stamford Bridge exit at the end of the season.

Michy Batshuayi, who has played just 224 minutes of Premier League football this season, scoring just once, has not featured since the restart, making the matchday squad on just two occasions.

With Lampard turning to Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham to lead the line, as well as the arrivals of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, there is little place for the Belgian in the squad.

And now, according to reports in Belgium, the 26-year-old is attracting interest from fellow Premier League sides, West Ham United and Crystal Palace.

He scored five goals in 11 Premier League appearances for the latter in a six-month loan spell at the end of the 2018/19 season.

Batshuayi is heading towards an exit at the club, and both Palace and West Ham are willing to sign him, for the right price.

It is said that Chelsea want to recoup as much of the €40m they invested in 2016, but with Batshuayi entering the final year of his contract, that price could be negotiated down.
