The Portugal international was shown a straight red card in his first Champions League match for Juventus
All eyes were on Cristiano Ronaldo as he represented Juventus in the Champions League for the very first time following his summer move from Real Madrid.
But the Portugal international's night was nothing short of a disaster after he was shown a straight red card in just the 29th minute of the match.

It wasn't clear what had happened at first as Ronaldo apparently clashed with Jeison Murillo off the ball and away from the eyes of the referee.
Replays showed there was a slight coming together between the two players, but Ronaldo didn't appear to lash out at his rival with his hand or head.
He did however appear to pull the hair of Murillo, which was spotted by the linesman.
The official gestured to the referee to end Ronaldo's night early, and the Portugal international was forced to leave the pitch in tears.
Before heading off down the tunnel Ronaldo had a quick chat with the man in the middle and attempted to fight his corner to change his mind.
Speaking to the match official, the Portuguese could be seen saying: "I did not do anything," but his protests fell on deaf ears.
Eventually Ronaldo was forced to smile in disbelief before heading off the pitch.
He then made his way down the tunnel, but not before stopping to lean on it for a moment, and went for an early bath.
It was Ronaldo's first red card in 154 Champions League games and means he may miss a return to Old Trafford when Juventus play his former club Manchester United next month.
Given the seemingly soft nature of the offence, Juventus could also appeal against the decision.
Speaking about Ronaldo in the BT Sport studio, his former team-mate at Manchester United Rio Ferdinand said: "Cristiano Ronaldo can be temperamental".
"You know what he's like when he's in the dressing room, he could bite at things sometimes." Paul Scholes added: "There is a bit of snap in there."

I am not a CR7 fan but he did not "pull" the other player's hair. He tap it and gestured him to get up and continue play. Bloody UEFA refs all biased at certain teams or players. Last CL finals, ref did not even book bloody Ramos for MMA tackle on Salah abd elbowing Liverpool goal keeper Karius. They are lenient towards Real Madrid! No wonder Zidane quit!

Just makes it a bit funnier, I just don’t know what he’s thinking from that angle the official behind the goal has a pretty good view

yes he cry...but the deffrerence between messi's cry and ronaldo's cry is that messi cried because he lose the game..but ronaldo cries because he cant play his best league's 2/3 matches..he never cry after losing the game..thats why CR7 is the best footballer in the world.

that shows cr 7 wasn't doing the hand thing in purpose ..that hair pulling was like a sorry to the player but the player acted opposite to gain what the team wants the most, people shud think before acting, officials didnt do the things right to ronaldo as they frustrate him, he will come stronger and u wunt believe but he will prove all the haters wrong.

Can football go beyond Ronaldo? Many different world class players have been shown the red card and is still happening every day in different soccer tournaments around the world. Why is Ronaldo case different? Why soo much talk as if Ronaldo is exempted from the red card decision? The referee's judgement might have been too hash but that's just football and it happens with others. Modric won the European player award recently but hey why was it not Ronaldo according to almost all of you. Some people say Ronaldo's red card is a shame to Italian football. Give me a break. Was the referee Italian? Or was it an Italian league game? In as much as I respect Ronaldo as one of the best if not the best in the world, we should try to look at football beyond him.

a true football fun never hates ronaldo, and if you do its just because messi is all u know in football, and I just wana say I like messi he is talented but ronaldo deserves credit for his hard work , talent without hard work is nothing but people work hard without talent and achieve wat talent cnt rich, and of course ronaldo works hard and too he is talented so watch him do wat he does best even if some officials forcefully pulls him down.
