Liverpool put the ball in the back of the net four times against Manchester United but came away from Anfield with a 2-0 win on Sunday afternoon.

The first goal came via a sensational header from Virgil van Dijk in the opening 15 minutes while the second was scored by Mohamed Salah after the Egyptian broke clear from an Alisson through ball and slotted past David de Gea in stoppage time.
Between that both Roberto Firmino and Gini Wijnaldum put the ball in the back of the net but both goals were disallowed following a check by VAR.
Wijnaldum was rightly judged offside following Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's excellent through ball but in the build-up to Firmino's beautifully curled effort, Van Dijk was deemed to have fouled De Gea after jumping to challenge for a looping ball alongside the goalkeeper.
That decision sparked fierce debate following the game with many believing the goal should have stood - and it's clear captain Jordan Henderson wasn't too happy with the ruling that took place either.

Just before the players were about to head back onto the pitch after half-time, Henderson spoke to match referee Craig Pawson in the tunnel about the "foul on De Gea".
The official's response was unclear but in response the Liverpool captain puffed his cheeks in a slightly exasperated way and said: "I thought it had to be clear."
Firmino's strike caused unrest in the United ranks as they raged to Pawson after the Brazilian rifled past goalkeeper De Gea.
The visitors clearly thought Van Dijk's jump with the Spanish shot-stopper was unfair seconds before the goal and De Gea's own protestations earned him a yellow card as the incident was being looked at by VAR Paul Tierney.
Eventually the effort was chalked off, but Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer's side have now been charged with a failure to keep their players in check at Anfield.

The VAR rule is confusing! As per the rule, it says ref decision would be final and only changes will be made by VAR only if it is ‘clear and obvious’ If you look at De Gea, that was very soft and Van Dijk just stood his ground and didnt use his arm. De Gea being a world class keeper should have hold on to it. It was easy for me to say since i am a Liverpool fan but majority of folks who saw that game will say that he dropped it way too easily and he made the same mistake against Dom Calvert against Everton which was ruled against him. Hendo has a point, and ref and FA should do something about this VAR rule in England cuz this has been embarrassing the way they are using it.

Well It's just some kids who can't stand Liverpool is way better than their teams None of the old players of these teams which they are fans of said anything about referees favouring Liverpool ! If a referees are favouring Liverpool then they won't make wrong decisions against them in many occasions ! If we lost those games no one would talked about referees but they are just hating that we win despite of these wrong decisions against us. all the 20 pl teams had some decisions on their favour and others against them .
